The Curtain Call Youth Theatre is open to all children aged between 5 and 15. We have plenty of fun and games every Sunday from 11am - 2pm in the drama studio at Cedars Upper School, Linslade.
The Youth Theatre aim to perform 3 full-scale productions a year, including a pantomime at the end of January.
There is no audition to join Curtain Call, but all parts for shows will be cast based on an audition in front of a casting panel.
Although great fun, we take drama, singing and dance seriously, and starting soon, we will be introducing exams for those students wishing to gain a qualification in any of the above.
The cost is £14 per week (including a drink and biscuit) with discounts for termly pre-payment and further reductions for children with siblins.

Curtain Call Youth Theatre's Next Show...
An introduction to Bugsy Malone will start on Sunday 12th Feb and read throughs and auditions will start on Sunday 19th Feb 2012.
Performance dates will follow soon, but will be around the end of May/early April 2012.
This will be an all singing, all dancing and completely all Youth Theatre Group production, including the use of SPLURGE GUNS...!!!

Meet the Youth Theatre Team
Gavyn Lugsden (Principle) - Founder of Curtain Call, has over 23 years experience in amature dramatics and also writes scripts for other groups in the UK. Starting his acting passion at Cedars School, Linslade, Gavyn went on to perform with the Leighton Buzzard Youth Theatre and then worked on lighting and set at various performances. Gavyn moved on to performing with the Technics Music Academy before working at Butlin's, Bognor Regis for several years as a redcoat, childrens entertainer and (believe it or not) the resident church organist, before working as a full-time entertainer and magician. He then joined the Wing Players, where he was renouned as the Pantomime Dame...! In 2010 Gavyn was a contestant on ITV 1's Goldenballs with presenter Jasper Carrott. Gavyn also works part-time for 'Clubs 4 Children' and runs several aftre-school drama clubs in Mid Beds and also works as a supply teacher, within Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, specialising in Drama, Art, Music and Maths. Gavyn has 2 children of his own Shauna (12) and Cameron (8) and is looking forward to making a huge success of Curtain Call Youth Theatre. His motto is 'if it isn't fun, then don't do it'.
Laura Debrick - Laura is our choreographer for the Youth Theatre Groups. As former head pupil at the Sarah Goffe School of Dance and Leanne Hughes Theatre School, Laura has a mass of experience both in teaching and on-stage performance and trained at the Performers College of Performing Arts, where she studied all aspects of Dance and Musical Theatre.
Julia Sulston - Julia is the Deputy Head Teacher at Cheddington School where she also takes the role of Director in the schools many sucessful performances. Julia is also part of the adult group and is a talented actor and singer. Julia is one of Curtain Call's first aiders.
Sheila Dallas - Sheila has many years experiance working with a wide range of theatre groups. Since moving to the area, Sheila is keen to 'keep her hand in' local amature dramatics and has a special fondness in working with children. Sheila has directed many shows in the past and is rather good at making the odd costume or two...!
Steve Elliott - Steve started with the Youth Theare group on Sunday 25th September 2011. Steve also workes as a leader of a Beaver pack in Dunstable, where he organises games and activities for children aged 5 - 8 years. Steve is one of Curtain Call's first aiders.
Marie Lynam - Marie (who is also Gavyn's other half) will be working with Curtain Call as the 'person who does everything else'! Marie will be in charge of membership, registration, treasury and admin.
